My Big Adventure
Friday afternoon, Treater and Napper finally brought me home from the v-e-t. My house did not look the same. Everything was gone. The only place to hide that I could find was behind the toilet. That tile floor isn't very comfortable for cat-napping, but I was too uneasy to sleep well anyway.
On Sunday afternoon, Treater and Napper came home from the place called "church" and began rolling suitcases and bags out the door. Uh-oh. Seeing suitcases is not a good sign. Next thing I know, Napper cornered me in the bathroom, and that usually means "cat carrier time." I just got back from the v-e-t...I didn't want to go again!!
Treater put me in the big car with her, and off we went. We drove farther than the v-e-t's office...hmmm. That was weird. I kept talking to Treater asking her to please take me home, but we just kept going. I looked out all of the peep-holes, but I didn't see anything I recognized. Then I heard Napper's voice, but he wasn't in the big car (Note from Treater: we were communicating on the walkie-talkies.)! He said something about meeting at the rest-stop. We stopped, and Treater parked his truck next to us. He got inside the big car and talked to me, but I didn't feel like talking. This was abnormal behavior for those two...and they've got me on "behavior modification" drugs?! Then Treater got back in the car and we started going again. I finally curled up in the corner for a mini-cat-nap.
Then we got to another stopping place and Treater carried me into a strange place filled with boxes and paper and...our missing furniture!! She made me stay in the carrier while she and Napper carried in more stuff. Then they put me in a strange bathroom with my food, water, and litter box and shut the door and left!
When they finally came back, they let me out and I did some "low-rider-exploring." (That's what Treater calls it when I'm scared and crouch low to the ground. Yeah, she's weird.) I finally found a spot behind the dryer that looked safe to me and I stayed there until the folks went to bed.
I'm not sure how this is going to work out, and how long we're staying here, but I'm definitely not liking it right now. I have found another safe place behind the entertainment center and I'm staying here for now.
One good thing: the anoles are out on the patio where I can watch them, and there's a frog inside here. Good entertainment!

Rescued!
But it doesn't look like home. It smells like home, but all the hidey-places are gone. One door is closed, so maybe there's still a hidey-place in there. I'll have to watch and check it out when I see the door open.
I heard my name paged at the Kitty Spa. Then someone took me out of my "kennel" and put me in MY carrier! She took me up front and I complained loudly until I heard Treater and Napper talking, and then I saw them! It has been 10 days since I've seen them. I kept giving them nuzzles and head butts and they kept rubbing me. Ahhh...
However...another ride in the car was required to get home. I really don't like those rides.
Note from Treater: Spooky doesn't realize it yet, but she has a two-hour car ride coming up on Sunday!
When I got home, Treater opened the carrier and I zipped outta there. I managed to hide for a while until Napper tried to take a nap on top of me! Now I'm in another hiding place. All of my hiding places are gone, so I have to get creative. I think I'll just stay here (I'm up inside of the reclining chair!) for the rest of the day.
Treater says we're losing our Internet for a few days. If that's true, then I'll try to post as soon as I can next week.
I'm home! I'm home!
Home?
I wonder if I'll remember what it looks like?
I wonder if all my favorite toys will still be there?
I wonder if there will be Greenies?
I wonder if Treater and Napper will remember me?
Will I remember them?
How should I act?
What should I say?
Should I ignore the folks or greet them?
I'm not sure how to behave!
Oh, I'm so nervous!!

Kitty Spa
I'm still at the Vet's office, but I'm over in the boarding side. It's sort of like a spa resort for kitties. I get fed regularly and there are some other kitties (and a D-O-G or two - I can't see them, but I hear them) that I can talk to. Someone comes to visit me regularly to play with me, too. I get ear scritches and I get brushed. It's not bad.
Of course, I had to get two more "owies" before I could stay here. If a nice lady walks up to you with one hand behind her back - beware! There's something sharp back there that hurts!
Dr. T. checks on me, too, and says that Treater and Napper will be back on Friday to get me. Hmm. I may have to let them know how I really feel about that.
I hope they're missing me...a lot!

I didn't see this coming!
I'm at the V-E-T place! I hear barks and mews all around, but I can't see anybody else.
I heard Treater and Dr. T. talk about getting "samples" and x-rays and and shots and something called "boarding." Not quite sure what that is but it doesn't sound like something I'm gonna like.
(I'm hiding...I escaped from my cage and I found this computer.... shhhh! Please don't tell.)

My new adventure!
My adventure has started! Much to my mom's dismay, dad is ready to kick us out of the house. It's cause of Willow who likes to pee everywhere. (I also have a little problem with hairballs.) And Racer who sheds everywhere. *sigh*
Anyway! Because of this, Dad says we have to go when they start growing their family. So to help us out, Mom has been opening the back door and letting us go outside on nice days. It's actually pretty fun! (Sorry, dear Spooky.. you should come visit us!!)
The pic above is me, on the back porch. Our back door comes out of the back bathroom. Now, anytime I hear ANYONE in there, I go running! And if it's Mom, she'll open the door for me! She usually calls to us and me and sis (Willow) come running.
This is Racer. Racer used to be scared to death to come outside. He was found in the stadium at the University where Mom works. He was tiny tiny (less than 6 weeks old) and covered in coco-burrs.
He's humongous now. Anyway.. he has started joining us outside. It's taking time. Mom says he'll get to stay in the house. His back legs don't work right. He can't jump.
Willow is sneaking around the grass. You can't tell but she's slinking around, low to the ground. That's the waterhose. Mom left it out and LADY got to it and chewed it up. BAD D-O-G!!!
And here's me again. The grass is awfully crunchy. It was also windy that day so we didn't stay out long.
I'll keep you guys posted on our new adventure. Mom says we'll have to use the bathroom outside. Ew.
My lasers
I may not be the bravest Cat around, but if necessary, I can fire up the lasers, too.
Take that, Vishus Deer and all other evil critters!

Pastor Cat?
Or perhaps Ella is having trouble distinguishing this type of laptop from the warm, comfy, people-type of lap...top.

The Middle Name Game
My middle name is "The," as in Spooky The Cat. Tiria, the Shadow Princess, tagged me for a name game. In fact, she had to tag a lot of people because she has a long middle name.
Here are the rules:
1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.
2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name or your mother's maiden name).
3. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person (or blogger of another species) for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged.)
T - Timid. Treater says I'm timid because I always hide when we have company or when a noise or sudden movement scares me.
E - Exquisite. (Treater says, "Vain, too." I'm not sure what "vain" means.) I'm exquisite because I'm a Cat: graceful, beautiful, elegant, and sometimes playful. (Treater just said "Lazy!" I'm not lazy. I require lots of rest.)
Hmmm. I think I'll tag Junior and Lala (my co-blogger) and anyone else who'd like to purr, er, play.

What's this I see?
1. Tiria tagged me! Treater says it will have to wait a couple of days because...
2. I see SUITCASES! Oh, dear me. Now I am worried. What's happening? Who's gonna give me Greenies?

Should I be worried?
They keep putting all of the stuff in boxes and taking them away someplace. They fuss when I make a mess (blush) and they forget to give me treats! I really have to talk loudly when I don't get my morning treat!
They left really early this morning - in a great big hurry! - and I had to remind Treater several times to feed me and give me a treat! They were gone allll daaay loooong. At least they didn't take one of those suitcase things this time.
They're home now and I finally convinced Napper that I really needed for him to settle down so that I could curl up with him.
These people are just too excited for me. I don't know what's going on.
I wonder what the word "moving" means?
