Two Whole Months!

Yeah. I think Treater forgot allllllll about ME. She has not helped me with this blog for two whole big long months. That's nearly a lifetime.

I really don't have much to tell. Mostly I've just been exploring new places to nap. I found a couple that are really good...no one can reach me there. That's a good thing 'cause my human sister's little tailpuller is 8 months old and faster than a speeding bullet. He and I haven't met yet, but I know that day is coming, so I'm getting prepared.

Aaaaaannnnndddd...as if that isn't bad enough, another little tailpuller was born into our family yesterday morning. She's a tiny little thing, so maybe she won't bother me. Much. Soon. Maybe.

Treater says that now she's a "Grand" and a "Great." Whatever that means. It just means trouble to me.

Here's one of those hiding places. It looks sort of upside-down, but Treater is holding the camera from above the TV/entertainment stuff and pointing down alongside the wall I'm trying to blend in with the wires. Is it working?

Also, one day last month, Treater met a blogging friend in person for the first time and they went to see a garden. Yeah, I know. A garden is a garden is a garden. They have trees and plants and anoles and birds and bugs and all sorts of interesting stuff. This one even had its very own Garden Cat. Whoa! This cat looks like a relative. I wonder...

The Garden Cat even gets to go outside. Lucky...

That's pretty much all that's been happening around here. Oh, Treater and Napper rearranged all of the furniture in the big room. They said something about a tree...would they really plant a tree inside the house? Well, whatever. It does give me a great place to sit and watch everything out the big window. Like the monster birds. They're out there right now. I made Treater run out and get a picture. The Papa Bird watches for trouble while his family eats.

While Papa Bird was watching Treater, Treater spotted a squirrel watching the birds. Squirrel was probably waiting for the birds and Treater to leave. He was pretty far from a tree.

Well, that's it for now. I'll be back. I promise!

(P.S.: Hi, Orion!)

More visitors!

We had visitors again. Actually, we think they live in the big tree place next door. They are always in our backyard! Boy, do they ever make a lot of racket!

I wanted to get out and try to catch one, but Treater wouldn't let me. She said she would just catch one with her camera.

Usually we have just four... the parents and two young ones. Those young ones are sure growing fast. I don't know who the other two are...I've never seen them before.

Imagine...six of them!

Hmm, looks like one of them spotted Treater and her camera.

Look out, Treater! It's heading for you!

Run, Treater, run!!

Treater took a little movie of them, too, so that I could watch them whenever I want.

Oops

Oh, no! I have disappointed so many of my fellow kitties! I've been missing from cyberspace...and it's not my fault!

Treater and Napper have been busy with too many things...and busily ignoring me! Well, I've been spending my days alone (except for when Orion teleports over for a visit...purrs).

Wanna know what I've been doing?

Treater spends her computer time staring at videos of that tail-puller, who turned six months old this week. All I see when I look at those videos is a drool machine who makes lots of funny noises and smells.

Bah.

What I saw

What am I watching so intently? (Check out those laser eyes reflected in the window!)

This is what I see:

I really want to get outside and play with it!

Please, let me outside....I wanna play with it!

Well, I guess I'll just sit and watch it for a while.

Crash and burn!!

Uh-oh. I didn't do it. Honest, I didn't!! I really did not use my laser-eyes on this!

It's a match!

Treater and Napper have been tearing up our new house and putting in all sorts of different stuff. That guy who does all the work is really staying busy, but he's so noisy (and he has a bad habit of closing the door to my, um, litter box room)!

Right now, he's working in the big bathroom. He's putting in something called "tile." Naturally, everything that goes in my house has to be approved by me.

I'd say this one passes muster. I think accentuates my furs very nicely, don't you?

Should I move?

(Yes, that's a rocking chair.)

Who's a horse?

Treater and Napper are finally back from their trip to visit that not-quite-so-new-anymore tail-puller. They keep talking about how hoarse I am. I am trying to tell them that I'm a cat and not a horse, but they just won't listen. The more I try to tell them, the more they laugh.

Well, my throat is a bit sore.

They think it's because I missed them so much and called and called for them.

What they don't know is that my throat is sore from all of the partying and house-trashing we did while they were gone! What a great time we all had. I'm hiding behind the TV today to catch up on my rest.

Thanks for coming, everyone, and thanks for bringing so many cool goodies! Purrs...

Watching the birdies

Still hanging around...
Not doing much of anything.

*yawn*

The peeps are planning another trip to see the little one.
That means I'll be alone. Again.

Heeheehee.

Remember a few weeks ago when I said something about having a PARTY?

It's time! Ya'll come on over!

Oh, these pics? I'm watching the little birdie. On TV. Not the kind that chirps. It's the kind that people hit with those funny-shaped sticks. Napper calls this the "British Open."

Orion, I'm still loving the blankie! Thanks again, ever so much!

Sad news

Remember when I told you about the wonderful lady named Miss Ruthie who was caring for those tiny kittens who were found in the trash at the landfill?

Miss Ruthie is sad today. The kittens were finally old enough last week to go to a new home. When one went in for its shots, it was found to have Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and had to be put to sleep. That means the other kitten is being put to sleep today, too.

My heart hurts for Miss Ruthie and for the kittens and for the people who thought they would have a kitten playing in their home.

I am so sad.

I am purraying for Miss Ruthie.

Computer Woes

Hi, Cats!

Everything is cool over here (inside, anyway...it's pretty hot outside). Anyway, I'm fine, nothing's wrong...except with Treater's computer, that is.

I'm borrowing a computer right now so that we can let everycat know that Treater's computer's motherboard kicked the bucket recently. The drives (and all the photos) are fine, but the computer won't run. She's waiting on someone to fix it. Maybe Napper will...or perhaps the Tall Guy Who Always Picks Me Up will fix it.

Anyway...keep checking back. We'll be back online soon.

Purrs...

House Denizen

This is my domain...my habitat. I am Protector of all that is within.

I have decided that I really like this place and I have taken responsibility for keeping the riff-raff away.

I protect my people, especially Treater, because she caters to my every need.

The peeps are amazed that I have taken to sitting upon Treater's shoulder when she is in her recliner. I do so for two reasons:

  1. I am protecting her.
  2. It's a great perch for watching all the activity through the Big Window.

Now, on to more important business. I am hearing rumors of another trip. I don't see any suitcases yet, but they are discussing whether to drive the big car or hop on the big, big birdie-thing. This, of course, means House Party.

Details later.

Kudos

Treater has a friend who visits a lot. I like her, too, 'cause she always smells like CAT. She has two kitties at her house. She is a good ear-scritcher, too. Her name is Miss Ruthie. Miss Ruthie is a very kind, loving, and gentle person.

A couple of weeks ago, the people at the pet shelter called Miss Ruthie. Someone had thrown three little kittens into the trash and the men at the landfill found them. Sadly, one kitty did not survive, but the shelter needed a foster mom for the other two. The kittens were only about a week old.

Miss Ruthie has taken those two in (temporarily) and is patiently feeding them a special kitten formula every four hours. Treater gets watery eyes every time she talks about this with me. I think Miss Ruthie deserves a hearty round of meows from kitties everywhere!

The shelter has already found homes for the two little boy kitties, but they won't release them until they're old enough.

I think this world needs a whole lot more people just like Miss Ruthie!

No news here

I guess I haven't been whapping Treater hard enough. Ever since she and Napper came home from visiting that new little boy (again...twice in two months!), she just won't sit down and take my dictation.

Treater did take several pictures...of the new boy and the dog and one picture of a stray cat. She didn't bring back any pictures of Lala and Willow and Racer! I need to know that my kin-cats are doing well.

As for that stray cat, she took the picture because she said it looks like someone washed and dried Racer and used too much heat and bleach. She said it looks like a blond Racer, only smaller. Racer is my huge nephew cat - his photo is in the sidebar down a bit. He's big and black and very long-haired.

She said the picture isn't very good because she took it through a window why she was holding - what else?! - the new little boy.

Oh, well. Anyway, my peeps are back for now. There's nothing new going on except that we're having a bunch of thunderboomer storms every day and loud thunder scares me! I've even decided that perhaps it's okay to climb up in Treater's lap when the noise gets too scary. But only for a little while.

Purrs, ya'll!

Something's in the air

Things are getting very interesting around here.

Those big boxes are disappearing, but more stuff appears. Treater calls it unpacking. I call it cluttering. It's just more stuff to run around and knock over.

Treater and Napper have pulled out the big suitcases. That always means trouble. They say they're flying to visit the new little tail-puller. I wonder if they have to fly very far and if their arms will get tired.

Usually when they leave, they leave me alone for short trips or a strange person will stop in to make sure I have food and water and a clean box. This time, they said someone special will be coming to stay with me.

Special, my foot.

I figured it out. The Tall Guy Who Picks Me Up is coming over, but he's not bringing Eve, the woofie, with him. Whew.

Treater said he'll be staying with us for several days. He used to be my favorite person until he started picking me up a lot and then started smelling like a woofie. I'm not sure I'll like him this time. Depends on what he smells like and if he tries to pick me up.

Treater here: Spooky, if he's the one who gives you your treats every morning, you'd better behave and act a little bit as if you like him.

Okay, Treater. I guess it could be worse. Eve could be coming, too. Or the tail-puller.

What I've been doing

I finally smacked Treater enough that she agreed to sit down at the computer for a few minutes to take dictation. Sheesh. She has been too busy. Sometimes I have to beg her to sit down so she'll scritch my ears or give me my treats.

Anyway, that guy who talks funny has been working in our house. It's getting all fixed up. I spend my time watching him, watching Napper, and watching Treater...and watching those big birds outside. Not much else to do but laze around.

Personal to Orion: Thanks for teleporting in and keeping me company! ;)

Almost outside!

This new place that we're living in has a screened-in lanai just like the last two houses we've lived in. Yes, I've lived in lots of places:

  • In the bad home before I came to live with Treater and Napper
  • In the shelter
  • In the house with lots of hidey-holes
  • In the hotel with the woofies down the hall
  • In the brand-new house that my people built
  • In the apartment
  • ...and now in this house!

Anyway, Treater and Napper sat on the lanai last night and called to me. Yeah, baby...a chance to go through that door! You betcha, I ran out there. I explored every nook and cranny and listened to all the sounds. I think I'd like to spend more time out there.

It's about time!

Treater finally found that missing thingy that lets her put pictures here. She hasn't taken very many that are of interest to me, however.

Remember when I said that Treater and Napper locked me in the bathroom last week when the movers were doing their thing? No one ever came in to check on me. I finally found the reason why. Apparently, this was hanging on the outside of the bathroom door.

Harrumph. I've never eaten a man. Well, perhaps I've taken a nibble or two.

There are big birds here at my new house, too. We spotted a family of four sandhill cranes out for a walk. One of the grown-up ones had already walked out of the picture. Those little ones look just about the right size, don't you think?

Treater remembered to bring my leather string with us on this move! She dug it out of a box and threw it at me. Oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy! I had some fun with it. For a while anyway.

I've got some more exploring to do right now.

Friday, April 17, 2009

Whoa! I think I've been kit-napped!

What a week! My head is still spinning.

First, Treater and Napper started pulling out boxes and paper and things began to disappear. No big deal, I thought. I figured they were just cleaning the place.

Then, on Wednesday morning, Treater tricked me!!! My litter box wasn't in its usual spot, so I put my nose to work. I found it and my food and water in the big bathroom. I went in to investigate, and Treater sneaked up behind me and closed the door! I was a prisoner! I began to think of Tiggie and Hart and all that they went through and I began to fear that perhaps I'd end up facing Iraqi cats!

From my prison cell, I could hear all sorts of strange noises and voices. Peeking under the door, I saw the furniture leaving. There were several strange men taking our stuff! After a long time, everybody left. I was trapped and alone.

Later that evening, Treater and Napper came back. Treater came into my prison and pulled out that Pet Taxi from the linen closet. Uh-oh. I ran behind the toilet. She shooed me out. I ran into a corner and tried to turn invisible. She cornered me with that Pet Taxi. I had no where to go but in. At least she threw my favorite towel in there first.

I watched them carry some things out and finally Treater came back for me. She put me in that big thing on wheels and we were off! To the Vet? I hope not. Hmmm. We didn't drive very long at all before she stopped and carried me inside a building I'd never before seen.

They left me in the Pet Taxi for a while, but I could still see all the goings-on. Hmmm. I saw our stuff all around me. I even saw stuff that I haven't seen in a very, very long time. I wonder where it had been?

Finally, they let me out. I crouched low to the ground and started exploring. I found my litter box and food right away. I explored and explored and finally I found our bed! Oh, yeah!

We've been here for two nights now, and I'm still exploring. Treater is pulling papers and things out of all of these boxes (I think that if I could count, there would be three hundred bazillion boxes all over this house). I stay clear of her because I don't want to end up in one of those boxes or buried beneath all that paper.

I have not found a big glass wall here, but I found a couple of places that are good for sitting and watching outdoors. I saw some really big birds out strolling. Treater said it was a sandhill crane family (momma, daddy, and two baby birds). I thought it was lunch. Oh, well.

That's what I've been up to lately. I still have lots of exploring to do. Treater's computer is still in a box so she said I can't put up any pictures for a while. We'll get to that as soon as possible. Meanwhile, I'm off to check things out. Treater says we can begin visiting everyone again just as soon as all of these boxes are gone. (Maybe we can party to celebrate when that happens!)

Update

My people are back from visiting the new blurpy boy. Treater and Napper said it was almost impossible to leave him. I don't know about that. From what I hear, all he does is sleep, eat, sleep, cry, sleep, poop, sleep, pee, sleep...sounds boring to me. Oh, wait. That's pretty much what I do. Well, except for the crying part. I do not cry, thank you very much.

Anyway, Treater wanted me to tell everyone that we have a moving deadline coming next week, and the "new" house remodeling is still going on, so I may not be able to blog for a few days...or a couple of weeks. I'll pop in when I can, so please don't forget about me!

When I come back to blogging regularly, I hope to have lots of pictures of me in my new house! I haven't seen it yet...sure do hope I like it. Hope there are lots of interesting things to see out the windows, too.

The boy is here!

The little one is here! Treater says he was born very late Sunday night and that he is doing very well and so are his folks. Treater says she holds him all the time and sometimes has to fight Napper for a chance to hold him.

Treater says he has red hair and is tiny and perfect and sleeps a lot. Hmmm, except for the red hair, that sounds like me.

Maybe she'll let me put a picture up... What? Oh, no, she says that is up to Light (the wee one's mommy) if a picture will be put up. Oh, well. At least everyone is okay and the wee one made it safely. I hope they come visit me sometime soon, before he turns into a tail-puller.

Treater said that she and Napper will be home tomorrow, but won't be on the computer much because they are still painting and renovating that house. Don't worry...I'll be back just as soon as I can!

News!

My human sister, Light, called! It looks like the Blurpy Boy may be born this weekend. My people are making lists and pulling out those icky suitcases and looking at airplane info.

Now I really will be by myself for a few days (they promise no more than four...we'll see if they can leave that new critter behind...).

Treater doesn't think she'll have a computer, but she'll try to update for me if she can.

Friday, March 20, 2009

Hangin' around

My people are still working till late at night at the new house. I hardly ever see them anymore. At least I get my treats in the morning and my ear-scritches at bedtime, but nothing in between! Well, yes, I do have food and water...but no company - just whatever is on the other side of the glass doors.

I'm just hanging around by the front door...waiting for Treater, Napper, anyone. C'mon over and play with me if you can sneak away!

Monday, March 16, 2009

My apologies and other stuff

I'm here, but Treater and Napper are gone most of the time. They are painting and fixing up our new house (I have not seen it yet...I guess they want to surprise me?). They leave in the mornings...well, Napper always does, anyway...and they come home so late.

When Treater is home, she's too busy to sit with me and scritch my ears. In fact, she's too busy to do anything with me! By George, my supply of my special-twice-a-week hairball treats has been depleted...and she won't go buy more! (What a slouch!)

At least no one's around during the day to step on my tail if I forget to pull it in under wherever I'm sleeping.

So, it's kinda boring around here. Sometimes there's some activity out the glass door that gives me some entertainment, but mostly I just nap...and eat...and uh, visit the, uh, Box...and nap some more.

Oh! Pretty soon, Light is going to be having that Blurpy boy. When she calls, Treater and Napper will zoom out of here and go to be with her. They are keeping a suitcase packed and ready to go. Light lives a loooong way away. They'll be leaving me alone again when they go, but they said they'll just be gone three, maybe four, days. We'll see.

I still don't know what Lala thinks about that new critter that will be coming to live with them. She's been pretty quiet lately about a lot of things. I know that another D-O-G came to live with them. That's two D-O-G-S, Lady and Bella! Add in that Blurpy boy and Lala, Willow, and Racer, and I think they have a zoo. Oh, yeah, and Light and Stretch, too.

Well, I'm around, dear ones...I just don't have much in the way of a typist right now. She's pretty worthless if you ask me. I'll try to check in again soon.

I'm hiding

This is gonna be a loooooonnnnnng day.

It's only 6:00 in the morning, and already this morning:

1. Treater stepped on my tail. Hard!

2. Treater accidentally locked me in The Scary Room. I know...she keeps telling me to stay out of there. I was just doing a little snooping.

I think I'd better lay low today. Don't bad things "happen in threes?"

Something is happening here

Treater and Napper are acting crazy again. They keep saying they bought us a new place to live. Again? I am so tired of moving.

First I lived with the bad people.

Then, Treater and The Tall One Who Picks Me Up brought me home from that rescue place (I didn't have to live there very long). They took me to that first house.

Then they sold that house and we all moved into an interesting place called a hotel. Woofies also lived in this hotel. I could hear them when they barked and when their people walked them past our door. We were there for a lot of days and nights - Treater says "two months."

Then we moved to the house with the neat stairs and all the hiding places.

Then we moved to this apartment.

And now, we're gonna move again?

But Treater says not yet. She says they are going to fix it up.

I wonder why they bought a broken house?

Where the action is

I know that things have been a bit slow around here, but it's not my fault!

Treater and Napper keep taking off and leaving me overnight. Then they bring back a bunch of stuff that looks familiar but doesn't smell familiar. I remember seeing this stuff at the house where I used to live. I wonder if they'll bring that house next? (heehee)

Treater says they have to go again in a couple of days to sign a bunch of papers that will say that the house belongs to somebody else! That makes me sad 'cause I really liked that house. Of course, I liked the other house we used to live in, too. I didn't like the hotel-place that we lived in for a little while between houses. This apartment's not too bad, either. Lots of stuff happens outside that big glass door.

Anyway, while they're gone, they think that I'm lazy and sleep all the time. They don't realize that I throw open the doors and have a PAR-TAY when I'm here alone! So, anyway, they'll be gone overnight again soon.

Can you say PAR-TAY, anyone?

RIP, Socks

Socks the Cat died today after a bout with cancer. He was 20 years old (some sources say he was 18 years old). Rest in Peace, Socks.

My toys

I love my toys!

I love my springy worm thingy.

I love my little 'nip fishies.

I love my leather strap.

I love my new ribbon.

I love my little sparkly balls (the ones that were a gift from Orion).

I don't want anyone else playing with them, so I hid them.

I hid them really good.

Uh, *blush* I also seem to have forgotten where I hid them.

All of them.

This calls for a plan of action.

Or inaction.

It won't work.

My Valentine Surprise

I was minding my own business, peeking out the glass doors, watching the goings-on out there., when I heard Treater come in from the mailbox. (Treater here: Spooky, I don't think that being nosy and watching everyone outside can be considered "minding one's own business!")

Oh. Well, anyway, she said that I had mail! I asked her who in the world had sent something to ME!?!?

She just grinned, and opened the box end, and set it on the floor next to me. I had to check this out!

Oh, my goodness gracious! It's from Orion!

It's full of all sorts of good things...like toys and a really warm and cozy fleece and Temptations and - oh! - a Valentine card!

The fleece was tied with this really nifty ribbon, too.

The fleece looks great - and feels great - on top of my footstool. The ribbon and toys are good there, too...well, unless I'm chasing them around, that is.

Orion - and Meowm, too - I want to thank you very, very, very much for my wonderful Valentine's Day gifts. You are so thoughtful and sweet and cute, too.

Junior and Orion's Meowm bought these nice gifts before Meowm found out that she was getting laid off from work. Junior and Orion love having her home, but she needs to find a really good job so that she can feed the boys (and herself). Purr really hard that everything gets better for her.

Meanwhile, I've got to get things ready...I hear that Orion is teleporting over for a visit after they get Meowm settled in.

Outside the glass door

Treater caught me staring at something through the window this morning.
What do you think I was watching?

Remember that silly little cat, Bebe, who lives in the apartment across the breezeway from me?
She was outside!
She was on my table and on my patio and snooping around my stuff!

Then she found something on my patio and started playing with it.
I wanted out there, too.
She's playing with my stuff on my patio.
She's having fun and I'm on the wrong side of this glass door.

(She's got a pretty floofy tail, don't you think?)
I wish I could play outside.

Awards

I received a couple of awards last week from Junior and Orion (*sigh*). I really had to keep after Treater to get her to sit down and help with posting 'em. Treater's been super-busy around here...things look very interesting. I think something's going on, but she's not giving me the scoop yet. Perhaps soon.

Annnnywaaaaay, down to business. The first award:

These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

The second award:

This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight kitties who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

Now, I'm not exactly sure what they mean, but I think it's good...and receiving an award is always a good thing. I'm supposed to pass this on to eight fellow cats, but I think that if you read this, you should consider yourself tagged.

Treater may be busy lately, but I'm sure not. I've been taking advantage of all this sunshine that's streaming in through the big window. I didn't even help her with today's warm, fresh-out-of-the-dryer laundry today.

Well, there was a little excitement yesterday, and it wasn't necessarily good. I do not like to be picked up. I hate it! I'm afraid of high places and being carried by a person just isn't fun for me.

Well, daggone it...I ran to greet Napper yesterday morning and when I jumped up on the footstool to talk to him, he picked me up! He carried me through this apartment and even brought me to Treater. I asked Treater for help, but she just rubbed my ears and laughed at me.

Napper took me back to the footstool and set me down and walked off. That was weird. I shook and shook and stared at him, but he walked off. Okay. So maybe that wasn't so bad.

Maybe.

*yawn* Okay, I think I'll head back to that sunny spot. *stretch* Later, ya'll.

Doing my part

On laundry day this week, I told Treater that I would help. After all, there's nothing quite like warm clothes straight out of the dryer. She turned the basket of warm linens onto the bed and started to make it up. I let her know there was no hurry...I would cool those linens off first by taking a good long nap.

I think she liked the excuse to put off that chore for a while.

Later, she pulled out the big loud sucky machine. I don't much care for that and I usually leave the room. However, I was in my stealth-protection mode, watching the gigantic birdies outside who were walking around in the rain. It's my job to protect our 'partment from Gigantic Birdie Attack. I told Treater that she could do that chore later. This was more important.

She agreed and finished reading her book.

Happy Birthday to me!

We really don't know when my real birthday is. I was too young to remember, and I didn't come to live with Treater and Napper until I was one year old. They rescued me from DOOM. Even though I'm a bit standoffish, I'm glad I live here with them, 'cause that means I LIVE!

We celebrate my birthday on the anniversary of my adoption, which was January 31, 2000. So, we just 'pretend' that my date of birth was January 31, 1999. That makes me ten years old! Of course, I'm a lady cat, so I'm not really old.

For the first couple of weeks that I lived in my new home, I stayed hidden...usually behind the piano or the TV. I would sneak out at night when everyone was asleep to eat, do my private business, and bite everyone's toes.

Napper kept following me around with the flashy box, and some of those first pictures are how I got my new name. When I was adopted, my name was Shubert. Shubert! For Pete's Sake, I'm a lady cat! What a name.

The first photo of me was taken when I was trying to sneak through the dining room. It's not a very good picture, but it's the one that made Treater say, "Wow! What a SPOOKY CAT!" Well, actually, the Tall One Who Always Picks Me Up called me an 'alien cat.' I'm glad I'm not named Alien Cat.

Anyway, here's another picture taken in the same evening. It's a bit clearer. This is what I looked like nine years ago. I had already perfected my laser eyes by then.

Wasn't I cute? Well, of course, I still am!

Happy Birthday to Me!!

Answering the questions

I'm sorry.

I guess everyone's been wondering where I've been. Well, I'll tell ya.

I've been here:

And I've been here:

So, the answer to the first question is: I've been hibernating practically this entire month!

The second question remains unanswered: am I a cat or a bear?

Actually, I'm resting up. There's a Big Event this weekend. Check in with me on Saturday!

My new favorite spot

Treater and Napper have been laughing and shaking their heads at me a lot lately. I cannot understand what they think is so funny. I think they're laughing at my new favorite sleeping place. I really like this spot. Treater keeps trying to take it away, but I won't let her.

Here...I'll move and show you what I've been sleeping on (that's my tail-tip in the bottom of the photo):

So, what do you think?

Treater here:

Just before Christmas, I brought home several gifts that I had purchased. They were wrapped in bubble wrap and placed inside this bag. After removing the gifts, I stuffed the bubble wrap back in the bag and left it on the floor. When I looked back, Spooky was nuzzling the bag, so I left it. Now she sleeps on it several hours each morning.

Bubble wrap and a plastic bag. Who'd a-thunk it?
